Ferry to Sausalito

Ferry Ride! The Doll was very excited to ride on a big Boat! We all were really hoping to see a shark but only sea lions…. Very stereotypical foggy day at bay. When we were in Sausalito we went to a book store and picked up a couple books and a post card for Grandma Carter. Then had tea and cake at a little cafe. Very Fun

Day.

San Francisco Zoo

What happened to our hot hot summer….. Just kidding it’s usually pretty chilly downtown so we bundled up to go to the zoo. Lola looks pretty good as a peacock. They had a nature trail in the children’s zoo area that had a lot of animals to pet. We had a picnic at the polar bear exhibit. And of course checked out a monkey’s booty. 🙂

cooking lessons are always a fun thing to have when the boys come to town. Tasty!

Summer Treat

Scorching hot sun and water = a good time at the park. Grammy and Aunt Nichie took Lola to the park for some craziness and an ice cream cone from the ice cream truck! Classic Summer memory!

Musical Princess Party

For weeks Lola has been talking about her princess party… who was coming(about a dozen kids), what kind of cake she wanted, what songs to sing…. She kept checking on mom’s progress when she was making the cake. (Sneaking bites of Fondant) She was so excited when her friends started showing up. She lovveed singing with Teacher Julie, who is her music teacher during the week. After we had cake and ice cream we let the kids swim and everyone had great time. Then later she wanted to be two again so that she could have another party. We told her she had to be three but we wished she would be little forever too.

Happy Birthday to YOU

Turning 3
What a joy to be three
So many things I like to be!
A princess a cat and a fish.
I feed myself from a dish.
Read to me mommy, please!
Look at the camera say Cheese.
Daddy’s home let’s go swimming.
Push me again higher on the swing.
Going to school is the next adventure
What will I learn in this next new year.

Can I brush you!

Aunt Nichie came for a visit over the Doll’s birthday. Lola was glad to have her to play with while mommy was working on birthday stuff.

Academy of Sciences

Nothing like a giant aquarium to pause a two year old in her tracks. For some reason the fish really enjoyed looking at Lola’s dress. A couple kept following her back and forth. Lola was most interested in the exhibit that showed the contents of a sharks stomach. Some of the crazy stuff a shark ate were a shoe, a glass bottle and couple of barbie dolls.

Water feature park

Where were these water feature parks when mommy and daddy were little? Lola loves going to all the different water feature parks. Nice to see some our taxes being used for something wonderful.
